Aurora Thunderjet slot cars, or TJets as they later came to be called, were produced from 1963 to 1970 and were gradually phased out after this as the faster AFX line was introduced.  T-Jet slot cars are still among the favorites of adult collectors, runners, and racers today.  The slot cars are easy to work on, chassis parts and track are still available, and they have more realistic racing speeds than the newer HO slotcars.  Many improvements can be made to the TJet slotcar chassis for increased speed and handling.  It has been said that hundreds of millions of Aurora cars were sold during the company's heyday...and it's easy to see why.  Recapture the fun!
