Tyco HO slotcars have been the longest lived HO slotcar brand. Starting in 1963 with the Tyco Speedways slot cars using an inline motor configuration that Tyco became known for, Tyco was usually the most serious threat that Aurora had to deal with. Tycopro became the rage in '70 with a faster can motor, but left much to be desired in the handling and reliability departments. Handling magnets helped in the mid-70's in their HP2 and curvehugger chassis designs. The 80's saw the advent of the reliable HP7 and 440x2 chassis, which are still available with some variations today.
